The top 2 MI bowlers-

  2. Kumar Kartikeya – 2/32 in 3 overs

This was the first time in this tournament that KKR got a 50+ opening partnership. Venkatesh Iyer, although couldn’t complete his half-century but did what he used to do and gave momentum to his team.

KKR made 64 for 1 in the powerplay. After such a good start, it was expected to go beyond 190 on a great batting pitch but Jasprit Bumrah changed everything in one over by cutting the power-hitting KKR. Rohit Sharma brought him in the 15th over to take the wicket of Andre Russell and he delivered it too. Bumrah ended his figure with 5/10. A collapse that was possible only if it was Bumrah at his best. Jasprit Bumrah was not at his best in the whole tournament but today everyone could see the old wicket-taker Bumrah.

2nd Innings

MI Score- 113/10 (17.3)

The top scorers of MI are-

  1. Ishan Kishan – 51 runs off 43 balls (5 Fours, 1 Six)
  2. Kieron Pollard – 15 runs off 16 balls (1 six)

  2. Andre Russell – 2/22 in 2.3 overs

Mumbai failed to give a good start and could only add 37 runs with the loss of 2 wickets in the powerplay. Except for Ishan Kishan, none of the Mumbai Indians batsmen show any intent. More was expected from Kieron Pollard but he didn’t seem to be in touch, in fact in the whole tournament so far he has been out of form.

Well, with this win the KKR is still there in the race for Playoffs, and Mumbai Indians are already out of the race.
